Forklift & Equipment Technician
We’re seeking a dedicated Forklift & Equipment Technician with a passion for forklift, equipment, and machinery maintenance. In this role, you’ll work in-depth on the service, maintenance, and repair of Titan Material Handling’s and our customer’s equipment, uphold safety standards, and contribute to our team’s training and development. Position Details
- Shift detail: 8-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, including standard breaks.
- Schedule: Monday-Friday with the expectation of punctual attendance and proactive notice for any planned absences.
- Extra expectations: Occasional weekend shifts; availability on major holidays is a plus, with overtime compensation.
- Work location: In-person at our Murfreesboro, TN facility with well-ventilated workspaces and modern amenities.
- Reporting: Report to the Department Manager for daily tasks, updates, and reviews.
- Training: We offer continued training to ensure compliance with safety regulations and the well-being of all team members.
Job Description
- Maintenance & Repair: Maintain, diagnose, and repair forklifts and equipment, ensuring functionality and minimizing downtime.
- Inspections: Regularly inspect equipment for any malfunctions, wear and tear, and ensure they meet safety standards.
- Training: Assist in training junior technicians by sharing knowledge, best practices, and providing hands-on guidance during complex repairs.
- Travel: Travel to different locations for on-site repairs as needed, representing the company with professionalism, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Inventory Management: Conduct regular inventory of repair tools and equipment, placing orders for replacements as needed and ensuring proper storage.
- Workspace Management: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring a safe environment and efficient work processes
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Technical degree in mechanics preferred.
- Experience: Experience in equipment repair and maintenance. We also train.
- Expertise: Minimum 3+ years of experience with forklift repairs. More experience is better. We also train.
- Skills: Demonstrated ability to read and understand mechanical diagrams. Product knowledge is a plus.
- Tools Proficiency: Proficient with the use of specialized repair tools.
- Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Driving Record: Must have a clean driving record. Must be insurable by TitanMH insurance.
